Q: What is Garden Railroad University? A: We are a place where people from around the world come and get help in building and growing their Garden Railroad. We were founded in 2005, but our faculty and staff have a combined experience in Garden Railroading in excess of 100 years. Q: Are you a "real" University? A: No, we are not an accredited university. We do not have buildings, crowded parking, or a football team. We do have an excellent faculty, a student store, diplomas, and I heard we are starting a "track team." Q: Aren't your diplomas just fakes? A: No, they are as real as the paper they are printed on. Our Bachelors Degrees are awarded based on people's life experiences with Garden Railroads. They are also given to a Garden Railroader by a friend or family member to show their love and support of a person who plays with trains in the garden. These are high-quality, four color, custom printed diplomas. They bear the official emblem of GRU and are imprinted with the official seal of Garden Railroad University.
